  • His father and grandfather had judo school in Japan.
  • His dream was fighting at 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo but he was not nominated there becase he had never beaten his rival Isao Okano.
  • In late '60 he decided move to Brazil. Immigration politic of Brazil that time was open and many Japanese people went to Brazil for having field.
  • He settled in Japanese comunity near São Paulo and soon begun fighting for his new country. He is brazilian since 1969.
  • Today he has own judo school in Brazil.
  • His daughters Tânia Ishii and Vânia Ishii were continued in judo tradition of his family.
