  • One of the most controversial judoka on tatami. Some people loved him (cool guy) and other people hated him (doping suspicion, no style judo).
  • On october 1997 he was positive tested for nandrolon and he was banned for 2 years but year later the ban was canceled because of procedure mistake during test.
  • After retirement in 2000 he stayed popular for media.
  • In 2007 he tried to go into politic but wasn't voted.
  • He performed in some reality shows.
