  • Typical representative of German judo. His defense was stronger than offense and he was always 99.95% concentrated and determinated.
  • He was only european rival for Wim Ruska in beggining of '70.
  • After retirement he became official for West German Judo Federation and judo trainer.
  • In late age he enterd into politic.
