Liberian Judo Federation got opportunity to send one their judoka to London 2012. They somehow chose Levi (Liva) Saryee who by the way had no clue what is judo. He used to practise karate before and had only karate gi. This was realised the day when he had to fight in Olympic judo tournament.<ref>http://www.frontpageafricaonline.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3866:judo-conspiracy-why-liberia-sent-an-illegal-athlete-to-the-london-olympics&catid=51:athletics&Itemid=125</ref> He never entered the tournament.
