Bio

He was born in little town called Kizilyurt in Russian republic Dagestan. In same city was born judoka Tagir Khaybulayev who is his friend.

He begun with judo at age 8.

His ethnicity is Avarian.

His coach is Aleksandr Miller

Career and Style

He would be very good freestyle wrestler if he chose this sport in youth. He is smaller judoka in lightweight but very powerfull and temperament. It's hard to throw him because he owns very high acrobatic skills (almost like extra-lightweights). His style is defensive. He is waiting for contras especially waiting for leg grab. His judo technique itself is not perfect but he draws level just with psychical and tactical skills.

Isayev had been searching his place in Russian national team for long time. Everything changed when he moved to Chelyabinsk in 2006 where his temperament was gentled with tactic.

He won gold medal in 2012 London Olympic Games. This was his biggest moment of his career. He had the day. In semifinal he upset Gi-Chun Wang who wasn't in top shape and he had some elbow injury from previous match.
