In 2007 he tried to go into politics but he wasn't voted.
Career and Style
Bouras was controversial and charismatic judoka. Some people loved him and other people hated him. His judo was very tactical and running. He knew how to do it.
His most remembered match is olympic final in 1996. He upset in final Toshihiko Koga by great tactical performance in second part of match.
On october 1997 he was positive tested for nandrolon and he was banned for 2 years but year later the ban was canceled because of procedure mistake during test.
After retirement in 2001 he stayed popular for media.
