Career and Style

Hontyuk is great athlete but his judo techniques are limited. He owns some sutemi-waza skills and he is very good on the ground (ne-waza). He had troubles with fighting after 2010 when legrabbing was banned.

His probably the most memorable match is semi-final match against Krawczyk at 2004 Athens OG. He won the tight match 1s to end with sumi-gaeshi when he was losing by koka.
