Career and Style
Neto was skilled European judo player with strong sutemi-waza. He was all-round judo player. For better results he needed more power. He was not powerful judoka.
After 2004 Athens OG when Nuno Delgado retire he moved to half-middleweight category.
He won European title in 2008 in front of homecrowd in golden score when his opponent was penalised.
In quaterfinal in 2008 Bejing OG he had very tight match with Korean Kim. He lost this nice tactical match in golden score when he was penalised.
After Bejing OG he had troubles with injuries. One of them, injury of back in 2011 lead to end of his pro career.
