  • He was known for his powerful and fast judo. He was one of the strongest judoka in half-heavyweight.
  • His favorit technic was tai otoshi and he was also very strong on ground.
  • He retired after 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal where he took bronze medal.
  • After retirement he worked for British Judo Federation and later he moved to Hong Kong where he spent some years.
  • Now he lives in France where he organizes judo seminaries mainly for young judokas.
