Bio

He was born in Miyakonojo what is city on island Kyushu.

He is from judo family. His older brother Tomokazu was elite judo player.

He is married with Japan model and TV personality Aki Higashihara. They have 2 children.

Career and Style

Inoue was stocky, stylish, powerful and very fast (for heavyweights) judo player. He had very strong work ethic. He exceled mainly in ashi-waza but all his judo techniques were impresive. His uchi-mata was almost ideal. It's very hard to do the technique ideal way in the match and his uchi-mata was always like from handbook.

During his top shape years (1999-2003) he lost only two matches against Antal Kovács in a 1999 cup tournament and in 2001 teams cup between Europe and Asia.

After winning his third 2003 World Championships in Japan he met his future wife Aki. She changed his life for sure. He lost something from his unbeatable, untouchable (physical laws work always).

In 2004 Athens Olympic Games he was defending his gold medal but he failed.

01.09.2005 he won famous Kano Cup but during the tournament he injuried shoulder and he had to miss 2005 World Championships and other tournaments later. Complete recovery took almost 2 years.

He came back in 2007 but as Heavyweight (+100kg) what surprised many people. Among Heavyweighters he was not such succesful and when he lost chance to fight at 2008 Beijing Olympic Games he decided retire.

He became a coach and he was sent to study European judo in Edinburg (Great Britain). There he stayed till 2011.

For many people he is the best judoka in history of judo contests (shia).
