Bio

He was born in Tryokhgorny what is small city in Chelyabinsk region (Ural).

He begun with judo by chance. He wanted to be freestyle wrestler but in his city there was only judo seminary.

At age of 11 he wanted left judo for football but he changed his mind after talk with his trainer.

He lives and trains in Chelyabinsk.

His coach is Dmitry Morozov.

Career and Style

Denisov is one of the most skilled judo player of his generation. He has very good technique of judo (Ashi-Waza) but his judo is more based on psychical attributies. He is very fast and agile for Middleweight category. It's very hard to throw him to ippon because he somehow slip out. He is not very powerful in compare with his rivals but he draw the level with tactical and athletics skills. His weak part is consistecy althought he usually get in final round of tournaments he can't win gold medal.
